Meet your Artists

Caroline West

A few years ago, burnout brought everything to a halt. After 18 years in my career, my body and soul both said enough. Walking away wasn’t easy, but it created space for something truer to emerge.

Creativity became my way back. Through intuitive painting, mindfulness and a deepening connection to nature, art helped me slow down and rebuild from the inside out. I was drawn to reclaimed and unexpected surfaces, tea bags, found materials and overlooked things, as a way of honouring sustainability and reminding myself that nothing and no one is ever truly wasted.

My work has since been shared through The Independent, The Times and an appearance on BBC Sunday Morning Live, but the true heart of my practice lives in what art gives back: presence, grounding and quiet joy.

Through The Creative Space, I offer the kind of place I once needed myself, calm, compassionate and free from judgement. A space to soften, explore and create without pressure. To reconnect with yourself, with others and with the healing power of art.

Here, creativity becomes a way home.

Lucy Sheffield

For 24 years, I drank to drown the noise. When I finally set the glass down, something cracked open inside — and art poured out like a flood I didn’t know I was holding. No brush, no canvas, no studio… just raw, messy, glowing need to create.

Now? My days are filled with colour, texture, and stories painted onto canvas. I teach others how to pick up a brush not to “get good,” but to feel free — because art isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. About healing. About remembering who you are when the world stops screaming.

I’m here to turn your “I can’t draw” into “I made this.” Your “I’m too busy” into “I’m making time.” And your quiet ache into something beautiful you can hang on a wall — or hold in your heart.
